Resilient

What is Resilient?

Resilient is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization that is committed to the development of a flourishing and self-empowered community. Our ministry began on January 1, 2018 at our office on Highland Avenue in Villa Park. Our endeavor has been to enhance the community in and around the Roosevelt Road Corridor and DuPage County. We’re committed to the ignored and overlooked, and won’t stop until we build a resilient community.

How Resilient Began

Resilient was founded in response to the needs identified in the communities that run along the Roosevelt Road corridor. As meetings with community members, local businesses, city services, and school administrators commenced, so did the vision for the launch of Resilient. A vision to address the social and economic disparity that goes unnoticed in DuPage County, while also sharing the love of Jesus through specialized programs that enable and teach resilience. Since our launch, we have expanded our services into even more districts throughout DuPage County.

Who Do We Impact?

Our programs are targeted towards marginalized youth and families in DuPage County.

  • We strive to set the foundation for, and foster the development of, upstanding character, life skills, independence, and self-empowerment.

  • Our attentiveness to families and the larger community reinforce those values, and create a system of support in the community to encourage greater potential success and thriving.

  • We invest in the future of our community.

We Uplift

"We offer students that are disenfranchised, because they're not athletes or don't fit into a club, a place where they belong."

How Can I Help?

Your donation is instrumental to creating a self-sufficient and self-sustaining community, right in your backyard. The money doesn’t just go toward “giving a man a fish and feeding him for a day”. It goes toward teaching him to fish, and empowering him to feed himself for a lifetime. Support Resilient, Transform Lives.
